It is such a pleasure to see you have decided to stay in for a while. Welcome to the world of acrostic jewellery. I have planned an exciting journey for you that will subsequently expand your knowledge as well as understanding of inspirations and ideas behind my pieces of jewellery.
Do you know that the Greeks believed that diamonds were hardened dewdrops and held them in high regards as symbols of purity and love? Interestingly enough, diamonds were not that popular and valued until early 15th century. Once regarded for their healing properties, gemstones used to and still carry an important as well as broad meaning. The idea of encrypting messages through jewels became very important during Napoleonic era.
The idea behind my pieces of jewellery is to emphasise the traditional meaning of gems while translating it into the contemporary world. Over the course of years the jewellery trends have changed substantially. It is undeniable that with a rise of technology, replacing handcraft with manufacturing process, we have lost the personal touch and commitment that we used to put into the jewellery making process. The meaning traditionally attached to personal ornaments such as rings, brooches, bracelets and necklaces has sadly been neglected. It is therefore essential to restore the historic, sentimental and romantic value of jewellery.
My mission is to return to the almost forgotten jewellers and goldsmiths techniques. Together with a group of jewellery and history enthusiasts we established our own workshop, where we combine the historical meaning of acrostic jewellery and modern trends. Every single piece is handmade with care and commitment from the highest quality materials acquired from fair trade and legal sources.
The jewellery coming out of our hands is unique, created precisely with strong attention to details. Our passion derived from the appreciation for beauty and historical values treasured throughout centuries.
